BMW Vision EfficientDynamics is a fully operational, high-performance prototype that represents the future of cars.
It is a full hybrid car with plug-in technology and is powered by a three-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel engine and an electric motor on each axle. It has the very latest technology in Brake Energy Regeneration to recharge the highly efficient 91 lithium-polymer batteries.
It can achieve 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 second. Its consumption is 3.76 litres/100 km, it has a performance of 241 kW /328 hp and a top speed of 250 km/h. The electrical range of BMW Vision EfficientDynamics will be 700 km thanks to an intelligent interaction with the three-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel engine.
Its height is only 1.24 m and it as a drag coefficient of 0.22 Cd, its technology-led design features sustainable materials, lightweight construction.
It will be released between 2013 and 2014, nothing is sure yet, only that is being produced, but we will keep you updated.
